In today’s post I will share with you How to Promote with your MLM Downline to increase your business growth and create momentum in your team.

A lot of people tend to miss this important task because they rely on their Upline to handle the promoting on social media, offline and in any way possible. That’s a big mistake!

This is why you are not having success in getting your team members to the next company event. You see people do what you do not what you say and they follow you because they either know you, like you and trust you. Promoting is the most important skill (the other one is Inviting) in the home business & network marketing industry. So getting in touch with your downline by calling them and meet up with them will show that first you care about them and that you can guide them to why they need to be at the next event/training/presentation.

These are some Steps on How to Promote with your MLM Downline:

Step 1

Be loyal to your company brand. Lead by example, so buy and use the products you share. If your company specializes in coffee, don’t buy supermarket coffee. Be a walking billboard/advertisement so your downline will do the same. It creates duplication.

Step 2

Encourage your downline to attend as many group-wide meetings and conventions as possible. Staying near the camp fire. Being in an atmosphere with other distributors provides motivation and revitalizes the resolve to set and keep goals. Also, these conventions showcase products and services, which can help improve sales. By building your immediate downline and those they sponsor, you increase income for everyone involved.

Step 3

Mentor the downline in your group and organize meetings in their homes. Encourage them to invite people investigating the opportunity, then tell your other distributors about the timing and placement. Don’t worry about space. The more crowded the venue, the more excited participants become. It’s better to run out of seats than to set out too many empty chairs.

Step 4

Promote the business-building tools that were helpful to you. Since you can’t mentor all of your downline at the same time, encourage them to seek information and training from the CDs, Blog Posts, team calls and books. Make sure you have read and listened to everything you suggest, in case members of your downline ask you about them.

Step 5
Set a competition contest within your team with a cash prize or a giveaway like the next company event ticket, a full paid dinner for 2, 1hr coaching session with an upline etc. This creates momentum in your team and will increase the team performance and attendance increase because you have quality time with the winners that you have time to promote and plan with them.
Step 6

Show you care. Place people before business to build trust. Listen to their challenges and offer real solutions that benefit them, not just yourself. Having the respect of members in your downline can motivate them to continue growing their businesses because they enjoy working with you.

Get a team culture going on with (Team T-Shirts, Team Events, Team Meetups) as it creates that family environment that we all love. Automatically it create more places and spots for you and everyone to promote the next thing on the calendar to attend.
