So, you need to learn how to go about it. Most people do it the wrong way as they try to fight it off instead to ask the right questions to hear their pain or need as we call it.

So how are you responding when you have these objections? The best way is to ask a question to discover why or where they got the source for their conclusion. Remember, we are there to assist them to make a decision whether it is a YES or a NO.

So the #1 Secret Phrase for handling objections in a home based business is this… “Tell me a little bit more about that”. Yes… that simple right?. The thing is this, they will never expect you to react like this so they lower there guard and start expressing themselves. With that you will have an indication if they are making excuses not to do it or you help them find reasons to do it. Then after you listen to them you use the Feel/Felt/Found. I know how you feel, I felt the same way but what I found out is… So, you either share a story from one of your team members with the same situation or if you have company magazines (validation tools) share with them how that person overcame that situation.

I DON’T HAVE THE TIME – 

Tell me a little bit more about that… (after they open up and talk). I understand and I know how you feel, I felt the same way but what I find out was… (either you share your time broke related experience or share someone’s story so they can relate) OR That’s exactly why I shared this with you as you don’t have the Time, with what you are doing (your job) when do you think you will have the time to spend with your loved ones? Never right?.

I DON’T HAVE THE MONEY –

Tell me a little bit more about that… (after they open up and talk). I understand and I know how you feel, I felt the same way but what I find out was… (either you share your time broke related experience or share someone’s story so they can relate). Also if you see they are really interested you can tell them “If I have a Ferrari parked outside and I will tell you that in the next 24hrs you need to get $500 and I will give you the keys… will you get the money?” OR You can tell them… That’s exactly why I shared this with you as you don’t have the money. If not this then what?, if not now then when?, if not you then you?.

I HAVE TO TELL ME SPOUSE –

Tell me a little bit more about that… (after they open up and talk). Ok… would you tell your husband when you purchase your expensive shoes or handbags? OR Would you tell your wife when you purchase a new smart phone or laptop? Get started and make a her or him a surprise showing them the cheque OR Ok… let’s go show them right now or in the next 2-3hrs.

I AM INTERESTED/I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT – 

Tell me a little bit more about that… (after they open up and talk). From experience those who tell me that they are interested/I have to think about it… are just say a polite way to say no. If they say no no… I am really interested… you give them an exact time and date when you are going to call them for a firm decision of a YES or NO.

IT’S A PYRAMID THING – 

Tell me a little bit more about that… (after they open up and talk). I understand but let me educate you about this. A pyramid is an organization or a group that have no product or no service and that’s illegal. So you are saying I am a robber? What I showed you we have a product/service so it is a legit business.

IT IS A SCAM – 

Tell me a little bit more about that… (after they open up and talk). I understand and I know how you feel, I felt the same way but what I find out was… (either you share your time broke related experience or share someone’s story so they can relate) OR you show them validation tools from your company (magazines, brochures) and your results if you already have them.

After you answer to their objection always ask them to join. Remember 90% of the people that do not join is because they are not being asked.

If someone decides against joining your business, be nice to them, they just might come around later.

If someone DOES join your business but doesn’t go after it as hard as you would like, be nice to them, they just might get fired up down the road.

Being nice doesn’t cost anything and it sure feels better than frustration.
