The best way to remember it is FORM. Which stands for From/Family, Occupation, Recreation & Message. When you interact with new people get to know them by following the FORM. Also if you are using facebook there is a big chance you might find something more interesting to complement them about or you might have something in common. 1. Maintain communication

Catch up with them every now and then. Ask them what are they doing this weekend? How’s their family? Where are they taking vacations this summer? Give them VALUE all the time. Meet up for a coffee if they live nearby. By maintaining communication via the platform of social media you used to connect with helps showcasing you. People join you not what you do.
