Travel Adventure – Lone Star Texas Epic Experience

Texas5A dream, I finally achieved is visiting USA and also one of my favourites states; Texas.

This was something I have been luring to do for a long time. Dreams do come true.

One of my goals that I wrote in January 2014 was to visit USA and it was a really easy decision for me to make when my friend told me that what if we go for and 8 day trip. I said, I am ALL IN! An so our journey to Dallas, Texas begin.

Excited to meet our mentors and a lot of USA friends that I have met through facebook somehow or another and mostly to give back some of our time and energy at a volunteer service our non-profit foundation organized plus to experience the company’s convention at the Forth Worth Convention Center.

So our journey started from Malta to Rome then from Rome to New York (just for 2 hrs) and then our last flight to Dallas.

Finally arrived we rented a car and drove to Forth Worth to our accommodation. I could believe that we arrived at 2am hungry like wolves as from New York to Dallas (4hrs flight) they gave us a can of soda and a small packet on peanuts.

So imagine, we were hungry and thank God we found a Mexican fast food chain open and we filled our tummy. The next day we started exploring the surroundings after our breakfast with Texas State Sign Waffles and syrup.

Apart from attending the Convention, we had 4 things planned that we were so thrilled about. The first one was visiting the company’s Head Quarters and the new ones (100,000 sq ft), the second one was the Voluntary Service at the Boys & Girls Club organized by the WorldVentures Foundation, third the Six Flags Over Texas Experience where our company rented out the whole place for a dream night for the members and family only.

We were like 5,000 people there and we had a great time.

The fourth thing on the list was the Rodeo Experience (at the Coliseum) another dream night were we had the chance to see professional people doing some amazing moves and you feel like you are living in a cowboy’s world.

Well, we went prepared as we bought our Texas hats and wear them on the night.

Watch this video below to find out what happened at the SixFlags Over Texas TakeOver…

The weekend arrived and as planned it was jam-packed with sessions and we were blown away by the organization, branding and professionalism of the company. We were 10,000 people from all over the world and I will never forget the vibe, the feeling and inspiration I’ve got from there. Had the chance to meet with Cesar L. Rodriguez while I was there and also one of my mentors Craig Sweet. We went to hang out with Craig for dinner and to his office to mastermind for the future.

Considering that we flew 6,000 miles to get there and back it was all worth it and we inspired other US people that they lived nearby that did not attend. Certainly we flew our Maltese Flag high up in Texas. One of the best trips I had in my life and thanks to our amazing concept.

Trip Highlights –

  • Eating Texas State Shaped Waffles
  • Hanging out with one of my mentors Craig Sweet

  • Experiencing the Volontour Service
  • Being a Cowboy for a night
  • Raising $750,000 in 2 days to build bottle schools in 3rd world countries
